So how does it work?
As it offers a bespoke service, Broadleaf Design cannot start with a list of products and prices. For this reason our input normally begins with a discussion about what is required (this can take place in person, on the phone, or by email) and a review of plans or sketches if these exist. This can be with the ultimate client or with the architect / designer / builder depending on who is involved. We listen to your ideas and look at any restrictions and then offer our first design solutions and some ballpark prices. This part of the service is completely free of charge.
For more simple projects, the first discussion is often sufficient for us to produce a preliminary quote. If this is acceptable in principal, we can then usually move on to take detailed measurements, fine tune the design, finalise the price and plan the production stage.
For more complex projects, the next stage in usually a quote based on a detailed design from ourselves - including where appropriate formal drawings and structural calculations. There is normally a charge for these, but this is agreed in advance and charged on a consultancy basis - the drawings belong to the client, and there is no obligation to proceed with Broadleaf Design for the implementation stage.

In terms of implementation we either supply only or supply and fit your project. The former is often more economical for clients who are not based close to Broadleaf but who wish to take advantage of the design, sourcing and construction skills we have but if required, and if the budget allows, our team will always travel.
The Broadleaf Design team includes skilled joiners, floor fitters, glaziers carpenters, oakwrights, stonemasons and cabinet makers, They are managed by Broadleaf Design to ensure that timing is as seamless as possible and that the workmanship is of the highest quality. We also liaise with builders, architects or other trades involved in any project as necessary.
